- The ship was SO clean. I love to travel, but something I really struggle with is getting the travel “ick”. And I get the travel ick easily, I must admit. Just the thought of the number of people who have stayed in the same room, slept in the same bed, used the same bathroom is enough to make me go wash my hands. I hate traveling and never really feeling “clean” until I get back home. But I did not get this on the Disney Wish! And honestly that might be a first, ever.
The ship and rooms were immaculate. Everything felt fresh and new. Nothing about this cruise gave me that icky travel feeling. Especially with being in such small quarters with so many people aboard, I really have to hand the cleanliness factor to Disney.
2. The food was SO good! I was skeptical, especially since I have experienced the park food- that some rave about- and I was less than pleased. But the meals on this ship were surprisingly all very good. From the buffets to snacks and sit-down dinners, I can’t say there wasn’t a meal that I didn’t enjoy. And the kids loved everything too. Bonus!
3. The staff were SO nice! Our maid introduced herself in the hallway and instantly had us laughing and grinning from ear to ear. We saw her multiple times a day, each time with her asking how our day was, how the trip was going, if we needed anything or if she could help in any way. The dinner staff were literally amazing- to say the least. We had the same two waiters each night and they knew all of our names- and could even tell my sister’s twins apart. They remembered a birthday we had and played games and magic tricks with my kids. And maybe the most amazing part- they cut my kids food so I didn’t have to.
Pretty much every other crew member we encountered was smiling, attentive and helpful. Good job Disney on training great crew members with wonderful customer service.
