If you’re anything like me, a huge part of a vacation is the food. Give me some nice weather, a fancy drink and some great food and I’m all set. A great place to visit for both eats and food is defiently Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Located on the sandy east coast of Florida, Fort Lauderdale is a food-lovers dream come true.

Below are some of my favorite spots- I highly encourage you to check them out. You will not be disappointed!

Nanou French Bakery and Cafe

This is a hidden gem, and I’m so glad we found it. It might be deceiving from the outside, but inside you will find an authentic French bakery with great sandwiches, pastries & coffee. Great for breakfast/brunch/lunch. Do not skip on the Nanouccino (pictured) and their homemade whipped cream!

Louie Bossi’s

This restaurant on Las Olas Blvd. is usually packed- and for good reason. With its lively atmosphere, great cocktails and amazing food- you literally can’t go wrong. Great for date night or dinner with family, there will be something for everyone here. Their pastas, breads and pastries are made in house. Don’t skip the salumi and formaggio selections, the Pane All’aglio is great and my favorite pasta is the Linguine Nero (pictured).

Casa D’Angelo

I didn’t know what kind of treat I was in for the first time I went to Casa D’Angelo. I can honestly say it was one of- if not the best-meals I have ever had. A lovely family owned restaurant with amazing service, Casa D’Angelo offers only the freshest ingredients, a huge (seriously huge) wine list, interesting specials and amazing, delicious entrees. Do not skip dessert! We went back two nights in a row for the Italian Cheesecake. (pictured)

Burlock Coast

Connected to the Ritz Carlton is Burlock Coast, a trendy up-scale restaurant with beautiful views of Fort Lauderdale beach and ocean. We loved sitting outside for pre-dinner cocktails and people watching. Ask for the bar nuts but watch out for the birds! They use local ingredients and servers are very attentive and helpful. We had breakfast & dessert here and intend to go back for dinner soon! Do not skip Gabe’s Twisted Pineapple martini! (Pictured)
