A seasoned mom friend had been telling me about this new robotic vacuum/mop that she had bought and would not stop raving about it. She told me she hardly ever had to vacuum or mop anymore because of her new best friend, the Roborock S7 Max Ultra. Certainly, I became very interested.
My Skeptisim
Undoubtedly, I was skeptical to say the least. As a mom of 4 kids and 3 parakeets, my vacuum runs at least 3 times a day and finding time to mop during the week was annoying but oh so necessary.
When I started looking into the Roborock in July of 2023, the shock of the $1299.99 price tag was a little blinding. According to my seasoned mom friend, it was worth every penny. I had experience with a different brand’s robotic vacuum and it was marginal, at best. My hopes weren’t high for this one either.
I took my time researching, reading reviews, and waiting for a sale. There really weren’t too many negative things I could find about this vacuum. It seemed to be the best choice when compared with other robotic vacuum mops. My chance finally came when it went on sale, so I held my breath and hit that orange button. One year later, I’m so glad I did.
Roborock has become my new little helper. Setup was easy. The technology is great! It actually maps out your floorplan and optimizes itself for the most efficient cleaning. It has great obstacle avoidance and I love that I can set up no-go zones (in my house, the playroom is a no-go to avoid sucking up toys, barbie hair, ect.)
The vacuum itself is powerful and does a great job of picking up debris. I always run the mop on the highest scrub intensity and it leaves my floors clean. The dock itself is fairly large, and has reservers for dirty water, clean water, and debris. Roborock connects to wifi and works with an app. I love that I can activate a cleaning cycle with the click of a button. It alerts me if it is stuck, low battery, water needs changing or maintenance is needed.
Is this vacuum/mop perfect? No. Sometimes it won’t pick up debris that are too close to my cabinets or a baseboard and it won’t remove stuck-on grime to the floor (although it does have a spot-clean function if you want it to focus on one small area). But does it greatly help me out with house cleaning? Yes. Would I buy this vacuum/mop again? Absolutely. It has been a weight lifted off my shoulders and one less thing a busy mom has to worry and feel guilty about not doing.
Check out the Roborock S7 Max Ultra, you won’t be disappointed!
